The Queen's Concerts -
Quick Guide - 10 Key Points
- There will be 12,000
invitations for each Concert.
- People to be invited
will be chosen by ballot from those who have applied.
There are two ways to apply for an invitation:
By calling 0900 1952
2002
Data collection is
automated, and the caller will be asked for:
- their name and
address and postcode
- which concert they
wish to attend
- how many tickets
they require - one or two (two is the maximum).
Calls will cost no
more than £1 (except from mobiles when costs may vary)

- Those with addresses
in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the
Channel Isles and the Isle of Man may apply.
- There is no age
restriction. However it is recommended that children
under 8 do not attend. One of the guests must be 18 or
over. Full provision will be made for people with
disabilities.
- People may apply
for both Concerts, although they will only be allocated
seats for one Concert. Different people within one family
or household may apply. Those who are successful in the
ballot may nominate the other guest.
- Calls to apply can be
made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week starting at 8.15 am on
Tuesday, 26 February and ending at midnight on Sunday, 17
March.
- Invitations will not
be allocated on a first come first served basis. There is
as much chance of being selected if the application is
made on 17 March as on 26 February.
- Invitations will be
allocated according to the broad spread of population
around the country. Therefore, if a city or county has 2%
of the population, 2% of the invitations will be
allocated to that area.
- Successful applicants
will be contacted in writing between 8 April and 19
April. Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified.
Advice on travel and accommodation, if required, will be
provided.
- To confirm their
attendance, guests will be asked to call a dedicated
Helpline and will be asked who will be accompanying them,
if applicable. The official invitation will be sent,
along with further information on the Concerts, at the
beginning of May. The Helpline will not be open until 8
April. Invitations are non-transferable.
