The Jubilee Appeal for Commonwealth Veterans is run by the British Commonwealth Ex-Services League. It aims to raise £5 million to help the needy amongst the five million men and women from across the Commonwealth who volunteered to fight alongside the British Forces during the Second World War. Currently the British Commonwealth Ex-Services League is helping 25,000 veterans and widows through its member organisations in 47 Commonwealth countries. Most veterans in need are based in India, Africa, the Far East and the Caribbean. In some cases, the needs are small - in others, they include food and medical treatment. The charity offers an opportunity to help the brave people who helped Britain in the war.
